These are my lovely children and this photo session was their Easter gift to ME! Yes, you may think that I can take photos of them at any time…well, maybe not all the time. Sometimes I can capture their natural expressions when we are out and about. Sometimes, however, you just want a nice, clean smile and both eyes looking at the camera. That is what I wanted this year for Easter and I am SO thankful the kids went along for the adventure. We were only at the Jewel Box for 20 minutes but that was just the right amount of time to capture these priceless images. Random note: I offer a lot of mini sessions to my clients because I know very well that young kids don’t like to have their photo taken for longer than 30 minutes. Lets be real here and say that 20 minutes is usually just the right amount of time to capture beautiful images. I never understood photographers who offer hour to hour and a half long sessions for families. Sure, if your kids are VERY well behaved and perhaps a bit older than a longer session could work…but then again I don’t want to smile for that long. Talk about exhausting. Yes, silly photographs are almost always incorporated into my kid sessions. Even they need a little to have fun!
