Today was a wonderful day. First, our family enjoyed some unexpected togetherness as the hubby did not have to be at work until 1pm. This was a huge blessing. We played with trains, read countless books and even ate a yummy breakfast together with no rush. I long for more days like this. After Steven left it began to snow. Preston watched eagerly from the window and kept asking if we could go outside and play. I told him that we could go outside after his sister’s nap and when more snow would pile up on the ground. Wow – he was super patient and what a blessing. We finally bundled up about 3:30pm and headed outside. Preston grabbed his sled and headed for the small hill in our front yard. Can you see the joy on his face. While Peyton didn’t want anything to do with the snow OR the camera (I held her the entire time) I captured these wonderful photos.
Now, I know that we can’t predict the snow but if you ever want someone last minute to drive out and document your kids joy as they play outside in the ‘cold, wet stuff’ then I am your woman. Taking pictures of kids at play makes my top 10 list of things I enjoy doing…along with travel, hiking and other cool things. Anyway, enjoy the photos.
